Given the continued spread of COVID-19, we’ve decided that this year’s World AeroPress Championship final will not take place.

While cancelling the world final for the first time in our 12-year history is a great disappointment, we feel a deep sense of responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of our competitors, judges, volunteers, and attendees. To progress with the planning of a world final event under today’s conditions just wouldn’t be right.
This is not necessarily as a cancellation of the season itself. In places where it’s safe to do so, regional and national championship events may still go ahead. This decision lies with the national host, but we strongly urge careful and thoughtful consideration of the public safety implications of running any type event.
For regional and national events that do go ahead, we will produce and ship trophies when we’re able to do so.
In November, we’ll announce, publicise, and celebrate any 2020 national champions that have been crowned, and we’ll be back with the championship you know and love in 2021.
As ever, we look forward to supporting the global community of coffee lovers that we’re privileged to be a part of, and will focus on safe and creative ways to do so this year.
