Christopher Durning
Championship Director, he/him
━━━━
Hailing from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, Chris Durning has been creating great coffee and cultivating community across Canada for the past 16 years.
Chris got his start in 2006, stamping cups and pulling shots as a barista before going on to manage and consult on some of the country's best coffee programs. In 2011 he began roasting as Head Roaster with Kittel Coffee Roasters, and in 2014 he accepted a position as Director of Coffee with Dispatch Coffee, both in Montréal. Most recently, Chris came to the World AeroPress Championships from Pilot Coffee Roasters in Toronto, where he led new business development.
Chris is quick to point out that he approaches all of his roles in coffee with core values he learned as a barista - building community in service of others. He looks forward to sharing his passion for accessibility and inclusivity with the WAC community, and hopes to see you in Vancouver!
