Host the official World AeroPress Championship event in your territory. It’s a proven crowd-puller with global credibility.

━━━━

You’ll run the format using our framework, crown your National Champion, and send them to the World Final.

One Host per territory, and a proven playbook. Heard enough?

Who can apply?

━━━━

Hosts come in all shapes and sizes – roasters, coffee festivals, marketing agencies, national coffee associations, and highly motivated individuals with the ability to bring folks together, and orchestrate a great experience for everyone involved.

If you can deliver a tight event, build community energy, and run a fair and impartial competition, then this is for you!

What we provide

━━━━

A proven global competition framework, with enough headroom to make it your own.

• Event format and rules (the backbone)

• A clear planning framework (so you’re not reinventing the wheel)

• Guidance on operations and promotion (what matters most, what to avoid)

• A Hosting Kit containing your trophies, limited edition tasting bowls, and other goodies

• A globally recognised title: your winner is an official National Champion

• Connection to a worldwide platform (your country’s moment is part of a global story)

• Two free passes to attend the World Final

What you control

━━━━

You’re the local creative director. We don’t micromanage your style – we protect the integrity of the competition, while relying on you to bring the local flavour.

You’ll be in control of:

• the theme, venue and production approach

• ticketing and audience experience

• local partners and sponsors (within the guardrails)

• how it plugs into your festival, program, or calendar

The result is a national championship that feels authentic and relevant to your local scene — with recognisability and reliability of World AeroPress Championship certification.

We’re coming up on twenty years of the World AeroPress Championship.

━━━━

And every year, both our hosting network and competitor participation continues to grow.

From three people in a small room in Oslo in ‘08, to nearly 8,000 competitors across 70 countries in ‘25.

Is it time to join the winning team?

You'll get to:

━━━━

• Differentiate your brand by joining a globally validated community (not just another small-fry, local event)

• Become the local hero that brought the World AeroPress Championship to your country

• Replace those “meh” competitions and events with a format people genuinely love

• Add a proven drawcard to your festival, venue, or brand activation calendar

• Own the territory (so your competitors can’t)

• Run a successful event straight out of the gate — the framework, rules, and structure are already proven, and the momentum is already rolling

• Put your country on the world stage and give your community a pathway to a World Championship win

What success looks like

━━━━

A full room of happy coffee lovers enjoying a fair and hotly-contested competition. A winner that people rally behind, and a community that talks about it afterwards.

Hosting tends to drive:

• increased attendance, participation, and publicity for festivals

• strong positive brand association with a global cultural movement

• a genuinely happy audience (competitors and spectators)

• product placement and showcasing opportunities

• an established platform for sponsorship and brand partnerships

• credible national representation at the World Final

What we expect from Hosts

━━━━

We’re protective of the Championship because it’s built on trust, and we’ve spent nearly two decades fine-tuning the format (so it works!).

You’ll need to:

• deliver the event in line with our rules and framework

• run a fair competition and appoint a legitimate winner

• meet key season deadlines (so the World Final can be produced smoothly)

• communicate clearly and professionally with competitors, judges, and partners

• cover the travel costs of sending your winner to the World Final

If that sounds like you, you’ll do great.

Ready to host?

If you’ve got the ambition and the operational drive, we’ll bring the framework, and you’ll bring it to life. To apply, you’ll need an outline of your event, approximate number of competitors, an idea on where, when, and how you’ll make it happen, and a figure in mind to bid for the license fee.
