A Note From the Organizers
━━━━
As we wind down the 2025 World AeroPress Championship, we’re taking a moment to reflect on another monumental season, while looking forward to the year ahead.
What started in ‘08 as a modest affair with three competitors in Oslo has grown to become the purest form of coffee brewing competition worldwide; validating competitor skills and cementing products as the only sidekicks to get them there.
In 2025 we saw nearly 8,000 competitors take to the stage in over 230 regional and national events across 68 countries — the largest cohort of global participation in our 17-year history and any single-discipline coffee competition worldwide.
Thanks to the hard work of our small team, our network of hosts around the world, the support of our sponsors and AeroPress Inc., we’ve continued to reach new coffee markets, grow the global circuit, forge new champions, and leave a positive impression on the lives of coffee lovers across the globe.
Here’s to another record breaking season.

On the evening of December 5th, we held the official Welcome Event for the World AeroPress Championship at our stunning venue, Layer Studio41, in the hottest area of Seoul — Seongsu.
This was a chance for spectators to meet our national champions, face to face, as we brought them up on stage and handed them a commemorative bag filled with gifts and tools from our sponsors to give them an edge in competition on Saturday.
After thundrous applause for our champions, we introduced the Official Championship Coffee: A stunning washed Sidra from Ecuador sourced by Cafe Imports, roasted by Stereoscope, and packaged in a fully custom bag and box by noissue.
While our champions got familiar with the competition coffee, the crowd sipped on their own coffees brewed on AeroPress XL by local legends Fritz Coffee, our friends from France Tanat Coffee, and our roasting partner Stereoscope Coffee. Spectators were also treated to tea samples from our Tea Partner Spirit Tea, local sweets from Sweefi and hot Tteokbokki to keep their bellies full.
Once the clock struck 10PM, we handed the champions their practice coffee and sent them home to craft their recipes before the world final kicks off at noon the next day.
At the climax of the entire 2025 season, 66 national champions took to the stage with sponsored and gifted gear from our partners to brew for our panel of esteemed judges and fans. The air buzzed with excitement as 600 coffee lovers from around the world and locally in Seoul filled the venue to witness history in the making.
Over the next five and a half hours, our roster of 66 whittled down to one, and our 2025 World Champion, Némo Pop representing Australia, a passionate coffee-pro of only two years, reigned victorious and was crowned.
Over the last seventeen years, we have seen both professionals and enthusiasts taking home the world title, cementing the fact that WAC events reach the broadest and most engaged coffee audience of all world-level competitions, not simply a fraction of coffee-elitists.
