For the American AeroPress Championship, we have four qualifying events, and one final event (how exciting!).

Qualifying winners receive an expenses paid trip to the final in San Francisco and skip past the preliminary rounds, getting you one step closer to victory.

There are 18 places available for each qualifying championship and registration is $99 USD.

To compete in the American AeroPress Championship, you must be living and working in the USA for a minimum of two years, and have a valid passport for international travel.

1. Hand grinders only.

2. Only one kettle may be used in competition.

3. Water will be provided by Third Wave Water, however, competitors are permitted to bring their own water if preferred.

4. For all other WAC rules, please review the Official Rules and Regulations of Competition.

The new American champion will earn an expenses paid trip to compete at the World AeroPress Championship in Seoul, South Korea on December 5th & 6th, representing the United States of America. A true once in a lifetime opportunity.

The champion will also receive a custom 1/70 World AeroPress Championship edition of the Comandante C40 Hammerhead Grinder, a Varia Aura Kettle, a prize pack from Spirit Tea, an AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap, and the coveted golden WAC trophy.

Every competitor will receive 2 x 200g bags of practice coffee, mailed to them 1-2 weeks before the championship date.

On competition day, you'll receive an additional bag of coffee to compete with.

The practice coffee and the coffee you'll use on competition day will be roasted in the same batch to ensure consistency.

The green coffee is supplied by our green coffee partner (and legends) Caravela Coffee.

The championship coffee will be revealed on our social media one week before the competition date.

The waitlist is managed and automated by Humanitix (our ticketing platform) and you can sign up to be notified if a competitor place opens.

If a competitor slot becomes available, Humanitix will send an email notification to the first in line to claim the spot. 30 minutes later, Humanitix will notify the next in line, and so on so forth until the space is filled. Make sure you've got your notifications turned on!
